Great Baby Shower Basket Gift Idea ~  Car Seat Basket!

Having a great baby shower basket gift idea is something we all want when going to the umpteenth shower!  There's a point in our lives when we go to a lot of showers, when we get married, when we start having babies or when our children start having babies.  When you're a girl friend, or a sister with a large family, that can be A LOT of showers!  I remember going through that stage, and really wanting a unique baby shower basket gift idea.

So here it is!

Go in with a group of women attending the shower and purchase a big gift, such as the infant car seat.  I love the new infant car seats that can allow you to connect with the stroller without getting the sleeping baby out of the car seat, but that's another story!  Let's say you purchase the car seat as a group. Plan to purchase other things needed for the car trip, here's a brief list to get your wheels turning:

• Car carrier toy bar (attaches to the infant car seat)
• A piddle pad (for, you know ...)
• "Bundle me" snuggler that fits over the infant car seat
• Car seat saver (goes under the infant car seat)
• Small mirror that the baby can see themselves in
• Small mirror that mom & dad can use to keep an eye on baby (instead of using your review mirror)

• Pacifier clip (so the pacifier doesn't fall on the car floor)

Once you have made all your purchases, take the infant car seat out of the original box and later bring the box in your car to the shower so you can give it to the new mom at the end of the baby shower.  Arrange all the smaller items in the infant car seat so the front of the item is showing, arrange it an artfully as you can.
